babaji Jr. + babaji Sr. of the Israelites
if you don't know Baba Israel (seen left with his dynamic father Steve Israel) then I invite you to experience a wisdom seen through the eye of a brooklyn/downunder spy. Baba, father of Open Thought Music and other equally enlightening projects of the hip-hop and performance art nature, has brought as much light in my life as Edison, both Thomas and Con. He was literally one of the first creative cats I would meet on the street of this amazing beat we call NYC. His art and artisanship sets me on sail like a wrestling vessel on turbulent, purient thought waves. What I mean to say is he arouses the mind and the metaphysic.
all my Ruskis know the Low Rider
from the corner of my eye I saw a thick arm crumple and toss a fist of
papers onto the street. They were a collection of parking tickets
(trade em with your friends?). I nodded and said, "expensive havin' a
car in this city, yeah?" Thick in a Russian accent he replied, "This
ride is wider than this smile (pointing to his broad grin). I must
park by fire hydrant, is only space for me. I guess city does not
understand."
